    Candidate Questionnaire's
    and Ranking's
    For the
    Sept. 14, 2004
    Washington Primary Election

Below you will find the name and ranking of the two (2) candidates
who completed and returned our "CFABA.ORG Candidate Questionnaire's"™. We have also put their completed "CFABA.ORG Candidate Questionnaire's"™ on our website, just click on their names below to see them.

    CANDIDATE RANKING OFFICE PTY
    James Holschen Jr. 100%   Endorsed SRD 3 (R) *
    John W. Aiken, Jr. 100%   GOV (R)

State: SRD=State Representative District; SSD=State Senatorial District; GOV=Governor
Federal: CD=U.S. Congressional District; SEN=U.S. Senate
    Local: CC=Party Central Committee
    Party: D = Democrat; R = Republican; L = Libertarian; GRN = Green

Ranking: The ranking shows how candidates stacked up to our endorsement standards. 100% means they agreed with us 100% on all the 37 questions this questionnaire had and can move forward in our endorsement process. Less then 100% means that on one or more questions we disagree and we can not endorse them. This election we add three new questions so check out how the candidate did.

Candidate Lists: Candidates with e-mail addresses on the following list were sent "CFABA.ORG Candidate Questionnaire's" ™.

    http://www.vote.wa.gov/filing/candidates_csv_all.tpl

1st Step: Completing our "CFABA.ORG Candidate Questionnaire's"™ is the first step in our endorsement process. Candidates who receive 100% are sent our Background Check Form™ , after we get that back they are sent a form authorizing us to say nice things about them. Only then will we endorse a candidate.

Endorsed candidates appear on our Good Guys List™ on our website and the News Release announcing our endorsements is e-mailed to our "Commentaries And News Releases List"™. We have endorsed candidates as late as the day before an election so check back often to see if there are any updates. We have very high endorsement standards, that is why we can say with confidence, Vote for "These Candidates on our Good Guys List™".

Party/Office: It was requested that we add Party and Office information so it would be easier to find Candidates on primary ballots, so we to added that feature. This year Washington has an open primary. This mean that you can choose which party primary you want to vote in at the time you vote. You can not vote for candidates from more than one party.

This means that voters in State Representive District 3 voting for the candidate on our "Good Guys List"™ will need to vote for only other Republican candidates, unless it is a non partisian seat, otherwise your votes will be invalid. For more information about voting in this new open primary system see "Washington Has a New Primary System" at the Washington Secretary of State page.
